      Shuja Haider

As a child, Shuja Haider would keenly watch his grandfather play the piano but his own prime objective was to play cricket. It wasn’t until much later that he pursued music in earnest, eventually becoming one of the top composer, singer, songwriter and producer of the country. Establishing his own recording studio, Speed of Sound in 1996, Haider rose to fame with his hit single, ‘Tera Woh Pyar’, and later stole the show when he produced other artists’ hit singles such as Shehzad Roy’s ‘Tera Mukhra’ or Haroon’s ‘Mehbooba’.

Best known for his collaboration with Shoaib Mansoor on his films ‘Khuda Kay Liye’ (2007) and Bol (2011), Haider produced Ahmed Jehanzeb’s ‘Parastish’ (2003) that helped him infiltrate the mainstream music. He was also responsible for the OSTs of several drama serials including Muqaddas (2015), Sehra Main Safar (2015) and Mann Mayal (2016).

In Coke Studio, Season 9, Shuja Haider will mark his debut as one of the six music directors and appears on vocals as a featured artist himself.
